You will manage a team of skilled engineers and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless production processes, uphold quality standards, and optimize equipment performance Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Oversee the maintenance and repair of production machinery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance schedules, prioritize projects, and manage resources effectively. Drive initiatives to identify and implement process improvements, predictive maintenance strategies, and technology upgrades. Manage the engineering budget, tracking expenditures and making recommendations for investments in equipment and resources. Establish strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to source quality parts and services, negotiating favourable terms. Act as a technical expert, providing guidance on complex engineering issues and participating in troubleshooting efforts. Location: Staffordshire Overview: An incredibly successful food manufacturing business based in Staffordshire has created two new Shift Manager positions within the structure to support the additional growth of the site. The Opportunity: This is your chance to be a part of a forward-thinking company that’s has employee development at the forefront. The site is quite well invested site, they’ve had a huge amount of growth over the past 12 months, but they aren’t where they need to be yet. They need the Shift Manager to help them to deliver successful KPIs and ensure the site continues to deliver high quality products to the UK retailers and QSR customers.   Ideally, we’re looking for someone who has managed teams of operatives in fast paced food manufacturing environments. Ideally, you’ll also have food safety level 3 minimum and an IOSH. The position is a days-based role across Monday to Friday. The shifts will rotate each week but there aren’t any nights or weekend work. This will suit someone with a food manufacturing background, not all manufacturing will be relevant unfortunately.
